Buffy the Vampire Slayer hit the US airwaves on March 10th, 1997 and aired its last episode on May 20th 2003. While I was not a rabid fan from the beginning and only became so in later seasons, it is a series I connect with growing up and graduating from high school in the late 90s. In fact, Buffy and I are both class of 1999, and when things get tough, I always look back to the series and think about what Buffy would do.

I turned 40 in September 2020 in the middle of pandemic and as Buffy Summers's 40th birthday passed this January 2021 (January 19th, 1981 is considered her birthday), my thoughts have been returning again and again to the show.

I’ve had a bit of hiatus from watching my DVDs, mostly due to increased responsibility since becoming a parent in 2016, and have decided to take this opportunity to re-watch the show and share my thoughts. I hope you will join me on this journey through seven seasons of Buffy.
